Black is
By Vic Nogay
They say, “Black is a demon stealing your colors,”
but black is all colors at once, and I
am the shepherd of shadows.
Salivating at the speedball in my pocket,
I cut it, roll it around, listen to it purr.
A dark strike to the middle of us
and I see stars.
